Ready For a Fresh Start?

3+ Years of experience as a Marine Technician/Marine Mechanic
The ideal candidate will possess strong work ethic, team mentality and a can-do attitude
Minimum High school diploma, Marine Tech schooling is advised
Possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Understanding of basic hand tool usage, including meters, gauges, drills, and saws etc
Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
Capacity to work in a team environment and independently
Good oral and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Must be able to lift and bend frequently; must be able to routinely lift and move up to 50lbs
Capable of working in indoor and outdoor settings; exposure to hot and humid environments; comfortable in confided spaces aboard marine vessels at times
While performing the duties of this position, the employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls
The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

The Marine Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and service repairs on heating, ventilating, air conditioning systems, engines, marine water maker units, and many other systems
This position will also be responsible for the installation of new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines
This role reports directly to the Service/Operations Manager
Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, service, and repair of marine systems
Troubleshoot and repair electrical circuits for faults and open circuits
Perform routine soldering of copper joints and dissimilar metals
Test pipe or tubing joints or connections for leaks, using pressure gauge or soap-and-water solution
Join pipes or tubing to equipment and/or water or refrigerant source, to form a complete circuit
Reassemble and test equipment following repairs

Full time, 40+ hours a week

Pay dependent on experience ($30-$40/hour)
